WhoMadeMyFood lets you optionally sign in with email to save plants and opt in to daily updates. Package photos used in the establishment-number scanner stay on your device.
Current data collection
You can sign in with an email link to save establishments on My plants. WhoMadeMyFood stores that email through its authentication provider and the establishments you choose to follow. Those follows are private to your account. You may separately opt in to daily application email updates from My plants or What's new; they use only your verified Auth email and can be disabled at any time. The production site loads Google Analytics to count page visits. Google may receive the pages viewed and standard browser information. Local development and preview deployments do not load that tag. The site does not collect payment information. The /scanner tool can use your camera or a photo on your device to help you read a USDA establishment number. Images are processed on your device when the browser can do that, are not uploaded to WhoMadeMyFood, and are not stored in our database. Hosting platforms may process standard technical request logs for page requests.
Future updates
Correction submissions and other data-collecting features are not enabled. This notice will be updated before they are.
