Summary
WASHINGTON, Feb. S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products were processed with a releasing agent containing soy lecithin, a known allergen that is not declared on the label. The products subject to recall were produced prior to Feb. 2, 2014, and were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
/18 count packages of iDesert Star Peppered” and iDesert Star Original” 3 oz. - 3 packages/case with 8 pieces/package of iDesert Star Original” and iDesert Star Peppered” Southwest Trail Brand: 1 oz. 6 packages/case with 12 pieces/package of iSouthwest Trail Original,” iSouthwest Trail Peppered,” iSouthwest Trail Red Chile,” and iSouthwest Trail Green Chile” 3 oz. 5 oz.
/12 count packages of iKettle Creek Original” and iKettle Creek Peppered” The products subject to recall bear the establishment number iEST. ” The problem was discovered by an FSIS in-plant inspector during a label review. The firm believed the releasing agent was a processing aid that did not need to be declared on the label.
