Summary
WASHINGTON, Feb. 8, 2016 Vosges, LTD, a Chicago, Ill. S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains coconut, a known allergen which is not declared on the product label. The Uncured Bacon Ganache chocolate products were packaged on Jan. 15, 2016 to Jan. 22, 2016 and are stamped with a BEST BY code 03 SEP 2016.
The following product is subject to recall: [ View Labels (PDF Only)] 135-lb. (720 bars) individual paper carton containing 3oz. flow wrapped bars of Trader Joes Uncured Bacon Ganache Bar (SKU 55001). The product subject to recall bears establishment number EST. 34647 inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The problem was discovered after the establishment received a consumer complaint. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
